Reporting a problem

To help me fix it quickly, include:

• What you did and what you expected to happen.
• Your Chrome version and operating system.
• The BugScribe version (shown on the extension's card at chrome://extensions).
• A screenshot, if you can share one. Please remove anything private first.

Common questions

Why does Chrome say "BugScribe started debugging this browser"?

BugScribe uses Chrome's debugger permission to read the same console and network feed as DevTools, for the one tab you analyze. The bar disappears when you press Stop capturing.

Why does the page reload when I press Analyze page?

BugScribe reloads the page once so it can record errors and failed requests from the very start of the page load.

BugScribe does not work on some pages.

Chrome does not allow extensions on its own pages (chrome://) or the Chrome Web Store. Also check Settings in case the site is blocked, and make sure no other DevTools window is attached to the same tab.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything stays on your device. See the privacy policy.

How do I delete what BugScribe stored?

Open Settings and press Clear all data. Uninstalling the extension also removes everything.

Can it write reports with a local AI model?

That is planned for a future version, using Ollama entirely on your machine.
